Hi all,

1. users have requested to manage sales costs/prices adding a column "end date" ( as previously available in AX 2009).

2. We are looking for a template to import data to upgrade costs/prices ( table or group) peridically.

 

Can someone help to understand if

1 is something that must be activated or it is a bespoke solution

2. is a template  a feasible solution ? if yes is there a template avalable "off the shelf" to import data ? ( i.e. ATLAS report) or we need to customize?

    Hi Luca,

    The title of the question is referring to the projects area, so I assume this question is related to cost and sales price setup in the Project area.

    1) Standard AX2009 has no end date in the Prices setup. Probably this is a customization or add-on. So in my opinion the standard application is the same on this feature.

    2) AX 2012 comes with a Data Import/Export Framework which can be used. For the project prices there is no standard Entity, but can be created yourself. You can start using a wizard to create it.

    You can also use the Excel add-in which comes with MS Dynamics AX.

    Also Atlas might be possible, but I have not used that product myself in AX2012 as there are now alternatives out of the box.
