CRM 2015 Outlook Client on Citrix synchronizing on startup

Hi all,

we have deployed CRM Outlook 2015 Client on a Citrix farm (with many servers).

It's working fine, tracking... not problems, we have only one issue.

When starting Outlook the dialog "Synchronizing your CRM-data" (translated from German) appears for about 10 minutes. User cannot use Outlook until this process is finished.

CRM1 --> Friendly Orgname is displayed here

Roaming profiles are used, Outlook Cachemode is off.

Any ideas what's wrong in this Citrix environment ?

Thx for your help.

What version of Citrix are you using?

    1. You need to have Outlook configured in cached mode and your application

    2. When using Roaming profiles, check that the application data folder is also roaming

    3. Check that your version of Citrix is supported according to technet.microsoft.com/.../hh699743.aspx

    4. Make sure you've installed the latest version of the Microsoft Online Services Sign-in Assistant is installed on the Citrix server alongside outlook.

    Hope this helps

    Hi Scott,

thx for your input, we will check (again) all this things with a citrix consultant next week.

Add 1.) --> Is not in cached mode, but we will try

    Add 2.) Yes is included, CrmCache.sdf, GUID.sdf, EMailCache.sdf, OutlookSyncCache.sdf...

    Add 3.) Yes it's 7.?

Add 4.) For OnPremise CRM ?

Also make sure that Outlook is configured for a single XenApp instance.

Re: 4 - no you don't need this if you are using OnPrem.

The problem was caused by the Roaming profiles....

Additional Logon/Logoff Scripts were necessary to handle all the *.sdf files that are needed by the CRM-Outlook Client.

What were the scripts and what do they do?

    TIA,

    Jim

Logon: copy the *.sdf Files from the Roaming profile fileshare to the local profile

    Logoff: the other way

Thanks , we have this setup, but as our local profiles are deleted upon logoff, the script seems to not capture the files in time to copy the required files.

Do you also delete your local profiles and if so how do you configure your GPO to ensure they capture the required files.

The Files are now copying correctly (Group policy was not applying previously).

However the Client is now disabled and appears twice within File>Outlook>Addons

    Troubleshooting continuing..

On the Logon script we added a registry change to for the CRM addmin load behavior to be set to "3" to force it to enable (you will find this information on Microsofts website).

The full solution is now completed
