Hi,
We have the following issue when importing accounts receivable opening balances to Business Central.
Our company local currency is EUR. We have some customers who are set up as default currency USD.
When importing opening balances, these customers might have a USD balance outstanding and an EUR opening balance.
On the import spreadsheet, for the USD balance, we stipulate USD in the Currency column. For the EUR balance, we leave blank (as currency is same as company local currency)
However, when importing the file, the system is automatically inserting USD currency for the transactions, so instead of importing a EUR 8,000 balance it imports a USD 8,000 balance. Presumably somewhere it is looking at the default currency of the customer and applying it.
Is there any setting to stop the system doing this automatically? On an upload with a number of entries, its possible someone wouldn't notice the system has done this.
Hi, this should automatically add the currency code on the customer card when the customer no. validates in the table.
I agree with Inge that you can go to the customer card and remove the currency code first, then import it and add it back to the customer card.
Hope this helps as well.
Thanks.

I think i would have removed the USD currency code from the customer during the import and then put the code back again afterwards.
The currency code is read from the customer when you validate the customer no. And if you skip validating the customer no. you will potentially run into several other problems.
if you are using configuration packages, you can disable the currency code validation and that might help. It might not also.
