We are using tasklet scanner and paper picklist for the moment, but i want to have a bar code on the picklist so the user can just scan the picking order and start. Is this possible?

You will need to modify the pick list report to add the barcode to it. You can read more here but a developer/partner would have to help you: Adding barcodes to reports - Business Central | Microsoft Learn

Alternatively, there are some free apps that can help too. Insight Works has a free app called WMS Express that you can explore using as it has barcodes on its standard document by default: Free WMS Express for Business Central

Yes, this is possible. Business Central supports barcodes directly in Word and RDLC report layouts, so you can customize/extend the pick list report to encode the Warehouse Pick No. as a barcode—Code 128 would be a good choice—and print it on the paper pick list. On the Tasklet side, the standard Pick Order screen normally uses a scanned item barcode to filter the available picks, but Tasklet explicitly documents that this scan filtering can be changed to filter on any scanned value, for example an order reference number. So the clean solution is: print the Warehouse Pick No. as a barcode → configure/extend Tasklet's Pick Order filter to match that scanned value against the pick/order number → the user scans the paper and gets the corresponding pick immediately. This isn't a standard setup toggle in Business Central, so it will normally require a small report/report-extension change plus Tasklet configuration/extension.

Hi,
Yes, this should be possible and I think it would work quite well with the process you have today.
You can add a barcode to the paper Warehouse Pick list, using the Warehouse Pick No. or another unique reference. This would normally need a small customization to the pick list report.
The other part is Tasklet. You would need to check with Tasklet if the scanned value can be used to find or filter the Pick Order based on the Warehouse Pick No. This can depend on the Tasklet version and how its configured.
So basically the process would be:
Print Pick No. as a barcode → scan it in Tasklet → find the matching pick → start picking.
I would first check with Tasklet which field they recommend for this. Once thats confirmed, your BC partner/developer can add that field as a barcode on the pick list.
So yes, the BC side should be possible. The main thing to confirm is how Tasklet can use the scanned Pick No.

Hi, yes it works with tasklet using the picklist id. But unfortunate our BC partner says they need 3-4 hours to do this at a hefty price. But i will check it out using VB with the RDLC file. THank you for all ansvers
