    Hi AkankshaJha,

You want to distinguish them by number sequences, but they're both workers, share the worker's personnel number, and share most of their attributes.

There are also differences between the two, e.g. an employee can join the company's compensation plan, a contractor cannot. But these are not distinguished by the number sequence.

    Hi QianQW,

While doing the hiring from Personnel Management we have Hire Employee option and Hire Contractor option. So, for Employees it should follow different number sequence and for Contactor it should be different.

E.g:- For Employees it should be may be 3**** and for Contractors it should be 5****.

    Thanks,

    Hi AkankshaJha,

In the standard version, workers are created with only one number sequence, the "Personnel Number".

Why do you want to two different sequences?

    Hi Akanksha,

you can only setup up 1 number sequence for personnel numbers:

You can allow the user to change the generated number to a lower or higher number, but that's not advised due to risk of data errors.

Why would you need this, as this is just a number, and logic (differece between worker and contractor) is identified somehwere else in the system?
