Hello Experts,

My customer want to establish a connection between Business Central SaaS database with jedox.(Jedox is a Business Intelligence and Corporate Performance Management solution).

Once the connection is established, the user want to query the Business Central tables in jedox to extract, transform for generating required information and reports.

The version of Business Central is:-  IN Business Central 22.5 (Platform 22.0.61221.0 + Application 22.5.59966.60134).

The jedox knowledgebase specified about JDBC driver to establish third party rdbms connections.

Can I establish a connection between Business Central and Jedox by standard prebuilt API's in BC? If yes, is it possible to query the BC tables?

Share your thoughts on this.

Appreciate for your time.

Best Regards,
Ranjith E S

First of all, including Microsoft's first-party products, Power BI, Power Automate, Excel, etc., cannot directly access BC tables.
What is being accessed is Odata in the Web Service, or APIs (Standard andcustom).
And sorry, I don't know the Jedox product very well, but if you publish the page for Odata or customize a new API page, it should be accessible. But as mentioned at the beginning, there is no way to access all tables in the standard.

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

    Hi Yun Zhu,

    Thanks for your time.

Is it possible to query the data in a third-party system if I connect to publish Odata in the web service or use standard APIs? I'm trying the same, but it would be helpful if someone already had such experience.

    Regards,

    Hello,

This is achieved by BC API's. Done the OAuth configuration for BC APIs and able to establish the connection with jedox.

    Thank and Regards,
