CUSTOMER ITEM HISTORY PER DATE

Posted on by

Hi all,

Hope someone can help? I don't see an option to get the right information on Customer Sales History...

I would like to see when, what item and at what price a customer bought goods. I can put a date filter, but that totals the qty of items and the total price... I can of course calculate the average, but what when prices have changed a few times??  Is there a report that gives me an overview of history per customer, per item, per posting date?

Looking forward hearing from you :-) Many thanks in advance!

    Sure.
I would suggest to keep the questions here, that way others can confirm or add to my answers/suggestions (best with a new post to get attention :) ) But You can also reach out to me in LinkedIn or FB

    Hi Kaspars,

MANY THANKS! The Item Ledger Entries option worked out the best! I have more questions, can I ask you?

I am 100% sure that Power BI works in the netherlands.

If you do not want to use Power BI you can customize a report for example using an Excel layout.

There are so many reportinng options in Business Central these days, the possibilities are almost limitless.

RE: CUSTOMER ITEM HISTORY PER DATE

If it is for specific Customer You want to re-check, just open Item Ledger Entries list, and put filters:
    Source Type = Customer,
    Source No.=Customer No
Posting Date = period You are interested in

If it is for all customers, then You would need to skip the Source No. filter.

From these data, You can see all Items customer has Purchased, export to Excel for more reporting option. In case You are using latest BC versions, then it offers some Pivoting options directly in BC client.

Another option within NAV/BC is to create "Sales Analysis Report", create Lines as Quantity Sold and Sales Amount - and here You can add Customer Filter and move between periods (day, week, month etc) and see the data.

    Hi Inge,

Many thanks for your response. For as far as I know POWER BI does not work here in the Netherlands? Any other options?

There still are endless possibilities, it depends on how you extract your data. As suggested by Inge M Bruvik, you can utilize the OOTB report of Customer/Item sales or construct one of your own in Power BI.

You can use the customer/Item sales report or you can customize a report f.ex. in Power BI.

Then you can have the detail level that you like.

ADD: We used to work in Dynamics 8.0, very old system, but there were so many possibilities.....
