on hand inventory report for all the warehouses in one legal entity

Hi All,

Is thee a ready report in AX 2012, which can show me on hand inventory in one line containing different warehouses on hand inventory

For Example

Item WH1 WH2 WH3

ABCD 5 5 9

XYZB 4 3 2

I have the same question (0)

Hi Muhammed,

Have you tried going to the on hand inventory and checking the 'warehouses' checkbox in the Dimensions (Display)?

Hi Muhammad Yousaf ,

You can check with below reports if available in AX 2012!

On hand inventory: - In this report, set the 'Warehouse' check box enabled and generate the report.

It will generate a report like this...

Physical on hand inventory: - In this report, select the parameter as per the following.

Once generated; report will give you below output.

As I mentioned; not quiet sure about AX 2012 but if these reports are available there, then you will mostly find these reports either in 'Inventory management' OR in 'Warehouse management' module.

my question is completely differen

i need to have a report of one (or many) items where each line item shows the quantity in all the warehouses at that site or in that legal entity

Hi Yousaf,

Haven't seen any report like that. The reason why row based report is used is because system can have unlimited warehouse and they necessary won't fit on one page. Plus one warehouse can have multiple locations etc. You can create a custom report or train users with what we have already (preferred approach) as they definitely provides more value. When you start doing custom report, you get into which column to show from so many existing columns etc. You may be able to suffice the requirement by showing all WH in single row, do expect change to report and objections from user down the line. Give this internal push and avoid customization.

Hi Muhammad Yousaf ,

Thanks for the feedback.

If you are expecting such a report where in one line, item quantities will be displayed in each warehouse separately; then I think, without customization you cannot achieve this.

However; for checking purpose, we have created 3 separate warehouses under the main site and posted transactions to record the inventory of an item. After that once I generated both these "Physical on hand inventory" and "On hand inventory" reports; it is showing available quantities in each warehouses (Main, Main2 and Main3) separately for that item.

Kindly check this and let us know if this meet your requirement without considering any customization in ERP.
