Hi everyone,
There are multiple DAT entries in the Legal entity table. what are these used for?

there is only one legal entity on HQ.

I want to validate legal entities through integration which fails on Dat because /Company Accounts Data/ is passed which is not associated with Dat legal entities.

Khurshid Wali

There is exactly one DAT company (DataArea) in each partition, but you have four partitions there. GUI always shows you data for a single partition.

    Hi Khurshid,

Like Martin mentioned, there are records for multiple partitions. Note that the support for partitions has been deprecated. In a production environment, there will be only one (default) partition as a legacy.
Can you tell more about what and how exactly you want to validate legal entities? You have now used SQL Server Management Studio to query the data via direct SQL commands. When using x++ or query objects in the applicatio it will return data for a single (default) partition only.

    Thank you, Martin and Andre.
Andre. I have developed services for generating Vendors/Customers intended for third-party applications. These services rely on the provision of the Company's full name to either create new Vendors/Customers or update existing ones. Initially, everything seemed to be functioning well; however, while conducting tests, I observed that Company accounts data is not being supported. Upon deeper investigation, I discovered that this issue is due to the 'dat' instead of the company name in the organization setup."

In the context of the Contoso database, the presence of multiple DAT (Data Access Tier) legal entities could be related to several factors and business requirements. The term "legal entity" typically refers to a distinct and separate organization or entity recognized by law, often for accounting, financial, and legal purposes
