Basic budgeting - Access control by budget model

Hi all,

I am configuring the budgeting module. However, I only intend to use the basic budgeting features.

So, a question arose - how to control access to the budget data.

In my setup, I have a budget model by fiscal year and submodules by the department. Is there a way to control the access to the budget register entries by budget model?

So approvers should only have access to their individual department - budget register entry with their department.

In other words, the user only should view the budget register entry of their department.

Hi Magno.

There is another question in the forum with a similar type of requirement just now. Copying my reply from that thread.

The only option would be to create a security policy using XDS.

Please check the following link from MS: docs.microsoft.com/.../extensible-data-security-policies

This is a development customization and is essentially an advanced query that allows you to filter out records, based on the rules you implement.

I do concur with Nikolaj. XDS is the way to achieve this.
