Related Records on Editable Grid for a custom table linked to quote table

Posted on by 15

Hi Guys,

am seeing a weird behaviour that i cant understand if am doing something wrong or its the platform being bugged.

i created a custom table and it has a relation to quotation table.

i added an editable grid but when i used the solution it was showing all records and not just the related records, i am sure i ticked the related record checkbox and i did check the records and they have the correct quote in the quote column and i made sure i saved the customisation and published all the customisations before i tested.

then i used the switch to classic view and i checked the settings there and clicked save and publish

after i did this i refreshed my soltion webpage (ctrl +F5) and now its showing the right records and not all of them.

any one have any idea why and what is it that am doing wrong.

every time i do a change this brakes up and i have to do the trick again in classic editor and publish to restore the functionality.

Thank you I thought am doing something wrong.

I will later open a ticket with Microsoft regarding this issue, as its not efficient to keep switching between classic and new experience to be able to do something

    Hi Salam,

I replicated your scenario and had the same problem:

Subgrid control can show related records, but editable grid will show all records, which seems to be by-design or bug.

It is recommended that you go directly to the Classic Edit page to add an editable grid component.

--Adding sub-grid component and enable 'Editable Grid' control

And you can open one ticket for Microsoft support to report this issue:
