Multiple Production Environment and Office Admin Center

Hi All,

Is there any client of yours who is working with Multiple Production tenants like one for the US and one for the UK on the Cloud?

Some Questions from My End:

My Company name domain is "KGF.COM"

So Domain will remain the same for all users while creation of Account for the office. So the office 365 admin center will remain the same too, right?

So All users working across the world their account will be created in the same office admin center, right?

When Multiple Production tenant is created then

businesscentral.dynamics.com/.../UK

will tenant ID change here for Another Production tenant or will remain same?.

How do you limit users assigned to one tenant if we update Users from Office 365, will it  pick up all Users who have licenses assigned to Business Central. How to decide which user is for GB and which for US and one can be for Both?

How do you decide with Multiple production instances if tenant ID does not change ,that which sandbox is for which Production?

your answer is really helpful. Had the same in mind but when microsoft stopped giving multiple production for free, so just it made it hard to test with multi cases.

I have seen companies having multi tenant with different domain sign in, that is where this question arrived.

    You made my Day. Thanks.

Will look for some one from Azure AAD to answer it.

Will get in touch with more questions if something comes

    Hello,

This may be a question best suited for Azure AD folks, but my understanding is that you cannot have the same Domain name registered on different tenants (AAD Tenants).  So for each Tenant you will have a unique sign-in\domain name.

    Thanks,

Is it also possible to have multi tenant ID for the same company working in different regions?

Like for US one tenant and for UK another one?.

Then in that case same admin user used to create UK Instance, can be admin of another tenant too or Email will have to be kept separate for every region for onboarding process?

As once login or a specific domain is registered?.  can then they can avail different tenants without change in their Domain? like from contoso12.com to contoso13.com or it can remain contoso12.com?

I understand AAD remains same as per login domain used.

For a Single Domain AAD will remain same and if we want to have different tenants then domain should change to register that, is it the case?

RE: Multiple Production Environment and Office Admin Center

    Hello,

You want to have a single Tenant to manage all users with multiple Production environments in different regions.  This is possible and will work fine.

Yes, domain will remain the same for all users.  Office 365 Admin center will remain the same.
All users across the world can have the same office admin center - Your AAD tenant will be based in 1 specific region though.

In Business Central you create multiple production 'Envrionments' for your single Tenant.
    Tenant ID will not change
If you run a full user synch it will synch all users in who have Licenses.  By default, those users only have access to the CRONUS sample company though.  You can also disable the users so that they cannot access the environment at all.  You have to explicitly give them permissions to any company in any environment other than CRONUS though.

The best way to keep Production and Sandboxes organized would be to have a naming scheme.  USProduction, UKProduction, USDevSandbox, UKTestSandbox, etc....

    Thanks,
