The requirement is for the description recorded against the bank account ledger to match what is posted to the balancing ledger account. At present, the voucher is being generated based on the Modern Bank Reconciliation – Generate Voucher matching rule setup. I am aware that the voucher description can be updated manually using the feature Allow edits to internal on general ledger vouchers. However, this does not meet the client’s requirement, as they specifically need the journal voucher description to mirror the description defined under the Generate Voucher Matching Rule – Description field.

I also explored the Default Description functionality, but it does not appear to be helpful in this scenario.

Is there any other way or approach which I should adopt to address the client's requirement?

    Thank you for your response. I am unable to view the option - Bank - reconciliation worksheet under the Default descriptions. Is there a feature which supports its visibility? Please note the MS version is 45.

    As you mentioned you have already tried default description, can you please screenshot of the setup of default description that you tried?.. 
     
    Have you used "Bank reconciliation - worksheet" Type in default description?
