Change date format for language

Hello everyone,

Is it possible to change the date format for a specific language? For example, the date format for the language /nl/ (Netherlands) is currently 29/09/2023, but we would like to display it as 29.09.2023 on our documents. I'm aware that I can adjust the date format in my user settings, but the reports seem to pick up the date format from the language setting used for customers, vendors, and so on.

Can anyone help me with this?

Hi Melanie,

Fasih shared my blog where you can personalize the date and time format. Note that my code example is only working for dates presented on forms, not on SSRS reports. In case you need to have another date format on reports, it would require some configuration or development on the report itself.

Hello Melanie,

Standard:

If you provide specific language at Date, time and number format field, system will print that pre-defined format on your reports.

If you let same field as empty, it will print based on the language you set on Language field.

If you want any specific date format on report, then you have to go for report customization.
