Hi!
Having spent half a day trying to figure this out, I'm turning to Community. Question regarding Goals, hopefully you can provide some guidance.
The record set for Goal rollup gives us 2 options:
My challenge is to measure Goal Actuals based on Accounts owned by the Goal Owner. For example In-progress Money should be calculated from Opportunities that are in Accounts that are owned by John. Why? Because John is responsible for his number of Accounts, the Opportunities in these Accounts can be owned by various other colleagues (without their own Goals that could be used as Child Goals in this context) depending on time period. But John is the one who has the Goal for Opportunities in his set of Accounts.
Seemingly there is no way to do this filtering on the Goal Form. There we can only indicate the general Goal Metric and choose between the record set options (all records or only those owned by Goal Owner).
So as I see it, the only way to filter the Opportunities in my scenario would be filtering by Related Entities in the Rollup Query. Something like Potential Customer Owner equals Goal Owner.
BUT. There seems to be no way to tell CRM to query these records dynamically depending on the owner of the Goal.
Seemingly the only way to do such related Entity filtering is to create a separate Query for each User containing fixed User name in the Query. BUT this will soon become a nightmare as these queries need to be created for each user, the number of such queries will grow all the time and it's going to become a huge mess in CRM.
Do you have any ideas how this might be done?
To put the need in one sentence - I want to roll up actuals from records in Accounts owned by Goal Owner.
Thanks in advance!
