CRM 2011 on-premises - how to implement external connector license?

Hello everyone,

One of my customers would like to implement External Connector License to provide an access to external parities.

I would like to know the licensing cost and whether is it available on MSDN subscription?

Additionally, I would also like to know what is the procedure to use this particular license in a separate web portal? Does it allow to download documents saved as attachment in one of the custom entities?

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi Ankit,

External Connector licence is a "trust" license, if data is to be accessed externally then you will have to pay. There is no need to setup anything. It is just a fee that Microsoft requires if you are going to present the data to external users. The license price ranges from $4,700 to $5,000 depending on your current Microsoft licensing agreements.

An External Connector is a license only, and does not include any physical software components, and does not include licensing for any other Microsoft products.
