SL 2011 Fp1 with SQL 2012

Since we have upgraded from SL 7 FP1 SQL 2005 to SL 2011 FP1 with SQL 2012, there have been some serious performance issues.  Has anyone experienced this with SQL 2012?  We have clients on SL 2011 FP1 and SQL 2008 that do not seem to have the same performance issue. However, they may not be pushing the same volume through OM as the client with issues.

We have been unable to recreate any performance issues on a regular basis and have sent the issues to Microsoft platform and the server and network performance seemed to test out fine based on their diagnostics tools.

And no... Article ID : 941009  did not solve the problem...

If your internet is still locked down, clearing the "Check for publisher's certificate revocation" doesn't help much... at least in our case (Windows Server 2008 R2 x64).

The EXE's are trying to access the internet when they SHOULDN'T.  That is the real problem.

We found a problem as well with 2011 SP1 and 2011 FP1.  If you lock down the internet on the client (or Citrix) [to zero internet access], either SL or .net dlls that SL is using have trouble looking for a (Microsoft/or other vender) server in interwebz land.  The SL screen load times go to 30+ seconds for all SL Screens.   Once we opened up the web on the Citrix server, the SL screen load times dropped to just a few seconds.   Bad Microsoft... Baaadd !!!

Is there plenty of disk space and memory? Can you do a ping to the database from the SL file server with large packets and get 100% return? (ping SQLServerName -l 10000 -t)
