i have one server in my organization for active direcotory and domain
and one other server for my microsoft dynamics crm 2016 on permis.
i know that i must configure claim base authentication.
now my question is:
where adfs must be installed ? in crm server ? or active direcotory server ?

I don't want to write a lot. But:
1. AD Domain server is not best candidate because nothing should be there except Domain role.
2. Front End Server is not best candidate because ADFS uses 80/443 ports for own services. If you're ok to use other ports for CRM - you can use it.
3. Back End Server is not best candidate because ADFS and CRM SandBox services use the same TCP ports for communication that will lead to port concurrency issues.
I hope it should be enough for explanation why ADFS should be installed on separated server. If it is not - it's up to you.
