Hello experts,
 
Kindly advice me on below query.
 
What is the best way to go about keeping users out of the system during closing except those needed?
 
I believe we can either disable users or go into maintenance mode, but I want to make sure we are doing the right thing.

    what is the reason to disable users, if its to stop posting, you can close the period and open only for those required. If its for other reasons as Andre suggested you can use bulk editing option.

    When putting the environment in maintenance mode, only system administrators will be able to log in. You can disable users using the new bulk update feature: Back to the feature: Bulk editing in grids - Dynamicspedia
     
    Anyway, what is the reason you want to disable users during closing?
