Print friendly reports out of CRM?

I am working on 2011 on prem - wanting to find a solution for printing reports that actually look good, out of CRM. Any idea how to go about doing this?

I've researched and it sounds like this is a major issue but I never really found a definitive answer or information on how to print a report. I'm guessing this may take a third party solution?

Hi..

To Format report as per requirements, you can download rdl file and use visual studio to format report. Once your report is formatted and looks good, then you can reimport it to CRM.

And then your report print will work as per your requirement.

Adam,

This is a browser related issue. You should be able to print using IE. Check this support blog https://community.dynamics.com/crm/b/dynamicscrmsupportblog/archive/2013/02/07/cross-browser-support-for-printing-reports

Check the " Browser Requirements for Viewing Reports with the ReportViewer web server controls" table in the msdn article

Any third party plug-in that would make life easy to just do all this directly from CRM. Like you click the print button which invokes a plug-in that formats the report real pretty and then prints it out?

Adam,

Usually I would create ribbon that will call the Report and the users you need to save it PDF or if using IE + printer driver installed then can do directly printing.
