Management Reporter cal formula not working

I'm trying to divide the results of two rows in management reporter in the row definition.  I have a cal format code - the formula is @2530/@2020 but it's not returning any results.  I tried changing the calculation priority, I tried changing the formula to B=b.2530/b.2020 with no luck.  I've set rows 2530 and 2020 to printing and non printing but it doesn't affect the outcome.   We tested it in Fabrikam with the same results.

It appears others have had the same problem.  I found the same question, but the questions weren't answered.

Change the "Calculation priority" options under the Settings tab in the Report Definition and try again.

    Hope this helps!!!

    Tina,

Did anyone ever help you with this problem.  I am having the same issue.  Thanks.

I have seen similar problems when the cells contain a circular reference (i.e. dividing by a row that is contained in the total row you're dividing by).  Typically when this is the case, you will see a message with a yellow triangle, which references this problem, but it only shows up when you generate the report.  It is important if you wish to divide one row by another, the rows must be independent of one another.

Additionally there is a CBR (Change Base Row) function, which can define a base row for other columns to performs calculations against.

If I remember correctly, I added formatting to the column and that fixed it.

    Hi everyone,

I just had this same problem, and I managed to fix it by going to the Column definition and just re-entering the Format / Currency Override. I replaced it with exactly what I had in there before, but for some reason doing this updated the report and now it generates the calculation! Very strange!
