How can I print all invoices in a batch to separate PDF's

I currently use PDFCreator and GP 10.0. I would like to find a way where I could print all invoices of a batch to separate PDF files which I could then e-mail clients in conjunction with mail merge.

I have tried selecting buttons throughout the printing process but haven't had any success. I also looked through the Documentation PDF's that came with GP but couldn't find it or was just looking in the wrong spot.

Has anyone done this? Is it even possible? If not, I'll have to start looking to PDF toolkit to split up a single pdf.

Thanks in Advance,

Greg

Using current version (GP 10.0) you have the following options:

    1. Create Macro that repeate the process of generating the PDF's and then send the PDF's manually to your customers.

    2. Recreate the invoice form using Word and use mail merge to fill in the invoice from the SQL directly and automatically send the emails, this will embed the invoice inside your mail but will not be converted to PDF.

    3. Using Dynamics GP Toolkit, write an application that reads invoice data, export it to PDF and send it automatically by mails.

You might be able to such task using Dynamics GP 2010 out of the box using templates and mails.

You can easily do this with a 3rd party - Forms Printer from Accountable Software.  If you want it will also autimatically email them.

    Hi Greg,

Please feel free to take a look at Liaison Messenger EDD by Liaison Software.

Messenger EDD uses your existing reports from Dynamics GP and your existing print procedures.  Simply select your invoices through your normal selection process and print with the Messenger EDD print driver. Messenger EDD will take your form / report printed, create a PDF and distribute it based on the Customer's preference - email, fax or print.

In addition Messenger EDD offers archiving of forms and reports, attaching supporting documents (static or variable). For example, attach outstanding invoices to a statement in 1 PDF and many more features.

I looked at Messenger EDD, but the only thing that I needed from the product was to generate individual PDF invoices quickly.  If the goal here is to split the invoices into separate PDF files, then you could print all to a single PDF, and then split the PDF into individual PDF's using VS 2010 and iTextSharp.  This is what I ended up doing. I needed to do some detective work to determine when I needed to create the next invoice.  Keep in mind that my need was to only create the individual invoice pdf files.  Once I had these  PDF files, I used them entirely outside of GP(made the invoices available on our secure web site) . I did not need to do anything else in in GP 10 after I created the initial single batch PDF file. Any one with good programming skills should be able to do this.
