HI all, Is there a simple way of cancelling a purchase order that has a remaining quantity left?
- 10 items were ordered, 7 have been delivered, the other 3 are no longer needed so we want to cancel this order now?
Just delete the Purchase Order. If you want, you can archive first before deleting the Purchase Order.
Hi, what if the order is partially received and a want to kill the remaining quantity?
In Dynamics orders are not closed, they are deleted when they are delivered / invoiced completely.
If you want to keep them after being completed.
Go to Purchases & payables setup. Under archiving turn on archive orders.
As for this order, delete it if you want to close it and it will move to archive(after you have turned the archiving on).
Later you can see archived documents through searching "Purchase order archive"
Yes, you can delete a partially received order as long as you already invoiced the received part.
Receipt Qty = Invoiced Qty means you can delete it.
