Unified Service Desk for CRM 2015 Online - CTI Simulator using Generic Listener Adapter

Hello All,

I have installed USD for CRM online 2015 and deployed CRM 2013 SP1 product package .

Now, I'm trying to implement the walkthrough for USD-CTI integration as mentioned in MSDN.(https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn864977.aspx.)

I have followed all steps as it is mentioned in walkthrough, but when I'm trying to search contact from CTI simulator (Provided at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?LinkId=519007) the new session will get opened, But the contact record will not get populated.

When I looked into the debugger log, it is showing that the contact which i'm trying to find from CTI simulator will get loaded into context-

Thanks in advance.

Atul

    Hi,

I had a similar issue. I followed the walktroughs and it did not work.

Then I realized that the walktrough is no complete. If you use configuration entity, then everything that you created needs to be added to the configuration that you are using.

    Hi Michal,

    Thanks for your response.

But, In my case i'm not using configuration entity. As I want to show same USD over all users. Correct me if i'm wrong the Configuration Entity is used to provide user base visibility/access to USD.

    Hi Sukh,

Yes, I figured out the issue.

The issue is with 'Windows Navigation Rule', As per walkthrough in navigation rule for CTITest i.e CTITestRoute in Result tab we have to select 'Target Tab' as 'Contact' which is not specified in walkthrough.

I hope this will solve your issue.

    Thanks,

    Atul

Thanks Atul, that was the missing piece.  All works as expected now.

    Hi Atul,

I have followed all the steps mentioned in msdn blog and as you mentioned that missing piece also been included in the hosted control but still the form is loading properly, I mean the Contact tab is getting opened and it shows "loading Business Logic" continuously nothing else is displayed for almost 15 mins then i have closed the application. Did you or anyone in here faced this issue with USD CTI Integration.

    Thanks & Regards

    Hi Atul,

I am new to CRM  and folliwng te same walkthrough.  But in the 2nd step When I try to test it gives me an error  "unable to reach remote server". I have tried using localhost as well as with my server IP. but I am unable to complete this scenario.

When are you seeing this error? In the walkthrough, step 2 uses the CTI simulator to generate a sample CTI event that can be seen in the USD debugger.

Are you getting the error when you click "Send to USD"?

At this point the url must be http://localhost:5000, what is happening is the simulator is generating a CTI event on port 5000 that USD will listen for. The generic CTI listener (created in step 1) will listen on port 5000.

Hi all! I've been following this thread but no further resolution was provided. The last that I read was the "Send to USD" error scenario. Can anyone update what happens next? Thanks in advance!
