GTIN PO Receiving. EAN/UCC-8

Hi Experts,

Can someone please share some documentation around GTIN setup? What is the difference between GTIN and Barcode.

I had setup a GTIN of 8 digits, however the system included "0" as prefix to make it 14 digits? For ex, i create a record as "12345678" and system has auto-saved it as "00000012345678"

While receiving the PO we will scan "12345678" not the 14 digits one, end in error "product identifier not found?

Why does the system expect 14 digits for EAN/UCC-8 ?

Thanks!

    Hi JiwanWanji9,

GTIN is a 14-digit data structure used to uniquely identify trade items, products, and services at a unit level.

Check out the some ocumentation on GTIN:
