
For service orders in D365F&O, each technician is assigned to a cost center. How is this done?

There are two options here:
1- Default work center for each technician that flows to each service order created:
First, there is a prerequisite to be able to assign a cost center to a technician. are you assigning positions to workers? If you are, you would see this setup on each worker (or employee, contractor) within the Worker tab on the ribbon, under Worker position assignments
If you are, within the worker position assignment, you can select the position assigned to the worker (or employee/contractor) to see the financial dimensions assigned to the position
Within the position for, you can define the cost center on the Financial dimensions fast tab, or any other financial dimensions you wish, to the position.
2- Define the cost center for each worker on each service order (or override the default setup on the worker)
Within the service order, you can define a cost center for each worker as it applies to the service order.
