License for multinational company

Dear expert,

I would like to ask about the licensing policy for multinational company. There is any possibility to buy the license that can be used for many database in different countries without breaking the policy?

For example, they have a mother company in country X, then they want to implemented in country Y. Could they just buy through the local partner in country X to be use in country Y?

Hi Robby, Yes they can buy through local partner in country X to be used in country Y. Please read the licence terms for NAV in this link > msdn.microsoft.com/.../dn892088(v=nav.90).aspx

Yes, it is totally possible, if the licenses are used by affiliated companies. However, there might be issues with localization, as some localization objects of one country are located in certain range, that can be not covered by the other country license. I've blogged on the options some time ago: community.dynamics.com/.../nav-roll-out-to-russia-license-policy-advices

Apart from the license issue, you need also consider the local legislation, as there might be different requirements for the different processes, resulting in conflicts in functionality.

    Dear Alexander,

Thank you for your answer. It was very helpful for us to explain to them.

Currently, I found that they should have a Global Volume Agreement (GVA) for it.

But I have another question that maybe you can help me to answer it. Based on the article, it stated as below figure:

It's only supported Ms. Dynamics NAV 2009, not Ms. Dynamics NAV 2013. If they buy the Ms. Dynamics NAV 2016, means this GVA cannot be applicable right?
