Modifiying Information of an existing contact over an embedded Marketing page

Hello community,

Maybe you can help me with one issue concerning existing contacts in D365 Marketing.

I´ve implemented the double opt-in process and when I visit my embedded Marketing page I am able to modify the data of an existing contact like first Name, last Name without getting an System warning, that the contact still exists with the same E-Mail adress in D365 Marketing. I thought that you were only able to do changes over the subscription management page.

The above shown contact still exists as Klaus Tester in D365 Marketing. I modified the first and last Name and the changes were updated on the contact form without a warning, that the contact still exists.

the contact matching strategy for this form is set for the Attributes emailadress1 and last Name.

    Hi Alexander,

Currently, the landing page form effectively allows changes to any contact, Subscription Center form allows e-mail changes of the contact along with other data. Double opt-in does not affect this functionality.

I would recommend blocking changes to contacts by some plugin/permissions and handling submission entities afterwards.

    Thanks,

    Defne
