SQL Server Error when Synchronizing Records - CRM's Outlook Client

Hi All,

I came across a weird issue while working with user filter templates (offline and outlook). The steps I did are the following:

- I removed all system filters (as I will use user filters from now on)

- Created user templates that I instantiate successfully

- Configure Outlook to point to the right CRM environment

- Check on File->CRM->Offline->Filters that the user filters I created before are there, and they are correct (check that the FetchXML was correct)

- Go Offline (synchronize)

I have an error when checking changes, a SQL Server Error with no information on the issue.

All feedback is very welcomed as there is not much information out there (almost 0).

Thanks,

Jordi

If you keep system filters and then try to go offline, what happens?

Is user has permission in security role to go offline?

Have you tried assigning different security role to user and then try to go offline?

Does it happen with all users ?

Also, Can you collect client side tracing for the issue so it would much clear where and why user is unable to go offline?

You can enable client side from Start-->All Programs-->Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011--> Diagnostics--> Advanced Troubleshooting--> check the box for Tracing and collect logs from C:\Users\<user_name>\appdata\Local\Microsoft\MSCRM\Logs or Traces and look for any exception or error and post here for review.

    Thanks,

    Hi Satish,

I already enabled tracing on the CRM Outlook client and I don't have any details on the error.

The user has security roles that enable him to go offline, the only thing is that there is some custom procedures that may be affecting the template selected to instantiate that may be the cause to all this.

    Thanks anyway for your reply,

    Regards,

    Jordi
