    Hi w.sallam,

Are you not able to edit the Display device name on the POS Hardware Profile form?

    thanks ToddB for the reply.

I can edit the device name on the hardware profile.

I'm just not sure it's the right name,

and I don't know where to find the right name!

    Hi w.sallam,

Is there an OPOS test utility from the manufacturer for the Line display?

If so, what is the device name showing in the utility?

The below is from the PCI Implementation Guide for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack

    www.microsoft.com/.../confirmation.aspx

Configure payment processing and set up devices in the Retail module

You must obtain the actual device names from the store to complete this procedure. Device

names can be viewed on the register by viewing the appropriate device class (MSR, PINPad, or

POSPrinter) in the following registry key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OLEforRetail\ServiceOPOS

    1. Click Retail > Setup > POS > Profiles > Hardware profiles.

    2. In the list, select the correct profile.

    3. On the EFT service tab, enter the information provided by Payment Services for Microsoft

    Dynamics ERP.

    4. On the tab for each device, in the Device name box, type the appropriate device name. A

description for the device is optional.

    Note

ï‚· You must use the same device names in the hardware profile that you use when you

configure the actual devices on each terminal.

    Thank you in advance.

    Todd

    Hi w.sallam,

What is the device you are trying to integrate?

Are there OPOS drivers for the device?

couldn't find the opos utility on the device too.

also couldn't find the register key for 64 bit (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\OLEforRetail\Service\OPOS )

    Hi w.sallam,

    Thank you for the information.

I checked with the product team; and this device is not something that we have done any testing on.

As there are no OPOS drivers for this device, it would not be possible to configure this within AX 2012 R3 using OPS drivers:

Per the below, in addition to the OPOS Common Control Objects, the manufacturer's OPOS Service Objects need to be installed:

Set up OPOS hardware devices | Microsoft Docs

I would recommend reaching out to the manufacturer to see:

    1. Do they support OPOS (or plan on supporting it)

    2. Do they have OPOS drivers

    3. What are the steps for installing the OPOS drivers and configuring / testing the device.

    4. What should be used for the Device name.

    thanks ToddB for your reply.

we already installed OPOS Common Control Objects 1.13 on the device.

there is no manufacturer's OPOS Service or drivers for the line display

and we reached them but no respond.

the vendor did try other POS system and connected it to the line display successful

but yet we can't make dynamics AX connect to it.
