Sales Hub Sales Usage Report (Replacement)

We have a customer who really liked the sales hub sales usage report that just got depreciated.  There is a Git Hub posting for a replacement PowerBI Report, however the report is engineered in a way that the auto refresh from the workspace will not work due to the Dynamic URL parameter.  Sales Hub Usage Report Replacement · Issue #102 · microsoft/Dynamics365-Apps-Samples.  Wondering if anyone has worked with the Replacement Report, and got it automatically refreshing one way or another?
