Hi,

I am just playing around with our Categorized search here as want to make it more streamlined.

I work for a third level college, most of our Contacts have Student Numbers. I want to be able to run a categorized search for Student Numbers in the Case entity, but when I enter the student number, the only records that appear are contact records. I need to be able to search for a student number through Cases as well, the Creator of a case will usually have a student number. If I enter the name of the Contact instead of the STudent Number, I can see data in both Case and Contact results.I have the correct fields added (I think) in the quickfind view of Cases, but I dont know why Case results for that student number arent displayed.

From your description, “the Creator of a case will usually have a student number.”

I have the following questions:

Creator is another entity?

Student number field exists in the creator entity?

Case entity doesn’t have student number field?

And you also said that “I have the correct fields added (I think) in the quick find view of Cases”.

Through my test, when I try to add find columns to the quick find view of case, it just can add fields from case entity itself, can’t select fields from related entities.

Finally, Can you share screenshots about it if possible?
