Database collation change

My crm db shares a server with another DB whose collation is SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS. They are having problems because all the other dbs (incl.  temp and crm) use Latin1_General_CI_AS . They want to change tempdb to use the same collation as them. Whats the potential impact on CRM?

    CRM will then have the issues their DB's are having, only they'll have no control over providing the collation hints in the CRM queries. I've never had anyone ask to change the collation on CRM, I've heard of it with GP before and I know it's a nightmare with GP. I'm not sure if the implications are quite as great on CRM, I don't suspect that they are but I would probably have this discussion with someone at MS. Aside from that, your other option is to spin up another instance with different collation strictly for CRM and then modify to your hearts content on the other instance.
