Is it possible to use the classic interface with the newer versions of CRM?

Why would they change it to a blank white screen that has all information hidden under ribbons?

The 4.0 version was a dream to navigate and find info. This blank slate look hurts my eyes and frustrates my searches.

We had similar requests from our users, there's some minimal theme changes that can be done in the theme section but everyone eventually got used to the workflow of the ribbon.
