Project Contract ID: Project Category is missing.

While Posting the Invoice Proposal in the Project Contract ID after making of the Billing rule, the Invoice proposal is not getting posted and showing error as /Project Contract ID: Project Category is missing./ What can I do? Is there any specific setup which I am missing or any fields which I am missing? As I have seen the project categories and setup of ledger posting setup and project/group line properties also and also in validation I have checked the categories. What to do? And how to post the invoice proposal?

We just ran into this same issue.

our issue was because we are using customer retention. if you are using customer payment retention you need a shared category and a project category that has the proper settings.
