Importing Products to existing Product family

Hi All,

I am trying to import products to an existing product family in Dynamics CRM. I have created a CSV file with the following columns.

Name Product ID Product Structure Field Service Product Type Hierarchy Path Parent Unit Group Default Unit Decimals Supported Purchase Name Convert to Customer Asset Taxable

When I try to import products with this template, the records are only partially imported excluding the parent values.

I have used an OOB Excel template initially but the same issue has occurred. As per the below thread, I changed to CSV file and mapped the name field only to parent. But still, it was not working.

    Hi Nithya,

    Based on my knowledge, you can't associate your newly imported products with families by Excel Import. This topic is a long-standing case and it is still on the slippery area.

    In the old version of CRM 2015, saving the import template as .csv was making the trick but with the new .xlsx import files, this solution is also not working at all.

    I kindly offer to you to use SDK for creating the new records.
