Automatic login to CRM on internal network and/or with mobile app

No matter how much googling or posts/articles I read I cannot figure out how to get this to happen.  We want to streamline the login process as much as possible.  If a user is already logged into the domain on their windows machine, they should not need to also login to CRM if it is using the same domain account. How can I make this happen?  (We have an ADFS server with claims based auth configured and IFD configured)

And what's the story with the CRM / Dynamics 365 Mobile app?  The need to login every single time is a big annoyance.

CRM works on windows authentication. If a user created in CRM using AD credentials, then it will auto-login to CRM when you open CRM in a browser. No need to do any extra steps.

For Extra Caution: (By default IE has following settings. Sharing this info to make sure whether may be this is the reason)

    1. Open the Internet Options dialog box by choosing Internet Options either from Control Panel or from the Tools menu in Internet Explorer.

    2. In the Internet Options dialog box, on the Security tab, select Local intranet, and then click Custom Level.

    3. In the Security Settings dialog box, under Logon, select Automatic logon only in Intranet zone, and then click OK.

    4. In the Internet Options dialog box on the Security Settings tab with Local intranet still selected, click Sites.

    5. In the Local intranet dialog box, click Advanced.

    6. In the next dialog box (also titled Local intranet), type the URL of your Communicator Web Access site (for example, https://cwaserver.contoso.com) in the Add this Web site to the zone box, and then click Add.

    7. In the Local intranet dialog, box click OK.

    8. In the original Local intranet dialog box, click OK.

    9. In the Internet Options dialog box, click OK.

So since our CRM does not act in this way... what do you think might be wrong?

When I navigate to CRM I immediately get redirected to our AFDS server (the sts1 url) and get the "sign in with your organizational account"  -  are we not configured correctly?  Anything I can do on the server to verify?

Are your internal users going to the site via the internal address (servername.domain.com/orgname), or the external address (orgname.domain.com)?  If they're getting directed to ADFS it sounds like the latter.  If you use the former, the automatic login should work (assuming the browser settings are configured as above to allow it).
