Losing decimals when creating Item or template in sandbox env only

Hi all,

I have a thickness field on an item in released product form i.e. 3.42. When I try to create an item template for this item, it is losing its decimals and generating the value 342 for item template in sandbox environments only but the same is working fine on Production and DEV Environments.

Also if I try to create a new item for existing templates having 2.52 as thickness value, when new item is created it is losing its decimals and generating the value 252 for new item on released product form in sandbox environments only.

The Environment is on-premises and having FO version 10.0.31.

Can anyone please guide what is wrong doing in sandbox environments?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi sir,

Is your thickness field a custom field? I have tried decimals with other fields in my development environment without such problems, create the template by Product information management > Products > released products > New > template > create shared template, you can debug to see if the issue is caused by other exception.

    Hi Judy,

Yes the thickness field is custom and I created the template on my dev environment. It is working as intended but when I deploy the package to sandbox and creating the template it is losing its decimals.

    Hi Ammad,

Can you tell more about this customization? What extended data type did you use? Is there any additional x++ logic related to this field?

    Hi Ammad,

Sounds like there's unit of measure conversion takes place to that field when an item is being created, you might want check if there's any UOM setup or let your developer debug to find out.
