Journal Check Issues not clearing in G/L Journal batches even though my JE is correct

Is anyone else having an issue with BC where the journal check is showing an issue with the gl entry, even though the issue is not true. It won't clear for me even with a refresh.

Example is the error is saying the doc number is out of balance, however when looking at the entry, the balance is 0 for net debit/credit on the same doc number...
I have the same question (0)

    Hi,
I've never seen Journal check showing incorrect error for Out of Balance.

You try to do preview posting, if it does not give error, go ahead and post it.

    Regards,
    Dhiren.

    Hi,

I'm not sure if this will help, but we have had users encounter the same error and it was because they were pasting journal lines from an Excel template into Business Central and there were small decimal values in the Amount field due to not rounding the numbers in Excel, and it's not obvious or visible in Business Central because it only displays up to 2 decimal places.

    Regards,
    Rob

Hi, I think you can try the following feature first.
Check documents and journals in while you work (Enable Data Check)

    Thanks.

    Hello,

Yes, this is a known and expected behavior, and it’s usually not a refresh bug. The Journal Check does not just look at “net balance per document no.” — it validates balance per Document No. + Posting Date + Currency (and this is enforced when Force Doc. Balance is enabled on the journal template). So if you reuse the same Document No. on lines with different posting dates or currencies, the check will say “out of balance” even though the overall net is zero. That’s by design. The fix is to make sure all lines with the same Document No. have the same Posting Date and Currency, or disable Force Doc. Balance if your process allows it. Reopening the journal page clears cache issues, but it won’t fix this scenario.
