Do I need active BREP for Dynamics CRM 2016 (v8.2) Migration?

Dear All, 

The customer is using Dynamics CRM v8.2 and SQL 2012. 

Q1) May I check if a customer needs to have their active BREP in place for the Dynamics CRM migration to cloud? 

Q2) Can they migrate to cloud directly without upgrade their CRM to the latest version? 

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

    I believe that both of these questions are part of the Standard Migration Assessment when going through the Dynamics 365 Migration Program.  Have you reached out to your Dynamics 365 Partner?
