In an entity update event handler, I would like to update the entity programmatically. Does this latter update trigger the update event again?
Thanks,

Hi,
When you say an 'entity update event handler' do you mean a client side javascript event or a Plugin Step?
If you mean a javascript event - then the answer is no if you use Xrm.Page.getAttribute("<name>").SetValue("..")
If you mean a Plugin, then you won't get another triggering of the plugin if you update the Target entity in the InputParameters via a PreOperation step - but if you use the OrganizationService to update then the plugin will be triggered again. You can use the Depth property on the context to check for how much recursion is in play.
hth,
Scott
It is a plugin assembly I would like to associate with entity update event.
This is great, thank you so much.
