SSRS Cascading parameters with an In condition

(0) ShareShare

I'm writing a SSRS report using fetchxml which requires cascading parameters.

However

Condition 1 has 1 or more parameters

Condition 2 needs to accept these parameters in order to filter its results.

How do I pass multiple parameters into Condition 2? One parameter isn't an issue, but the in condition requires <value></value> conditions, not as I was hoping, being able to pass comma seperated list into a value="" condition.

Thanks
Lee

    Hi,

I am not sure if I understand what you are asking there. I'll share a link for what I understand. Please check this out if it helps for your situation. community.dynamics.com/.../sample-fetch-xml-report-using-multivalued-parameter-in-operator-in-crm

If not, please explain more of what you ask by adding screenshots or giving examples.

    Regards,

Thanks, I've seen that page and whenever I put in values in Fetchxmltester in xrmtoolbox I get an error if i use value="typea, typeb" instead of

    <value>typea</value>

    <value>typeb</value>

an example of what I'm trying to do is this.

In parameter 1 i have football teams

In parameter 2 i have football players.

If I select Manchester United in parameter 1, I want parameter 2 to show all players who play for Manchester United.

however I also want parameter 1 to select multiple and for parameter 2 to show results for both parameters.

    for example

if I select both Manchester United and Liverpool in parameter 1, parameter 2 will show me players who play for either Manchester United or Liverpool

I also want to be able to select Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal, or Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Manchester City and show all players who play for each team etc....

It looks like the solution of using value="typea, typeb" in an in condition does work.

My error was in another part of what I was working on.
