Unable to assign Account entity record to the other user.

Hi All,

I am facing exception, When try to assign a particular account record to other crm user.

CRM throwing following exception message.

The Web Service plug-in failed in OrganizationId: 3a6f065e-8c70-e611-80c7-005056aee586; SdkMessageProcessingStepId: c3c9bb1b-ea3e-db11-86a7-000a3a5473e8; EntityName: account; Stage: 30; MessageName: Assign; AssemblyName: Microsoft.Crm.Extensibility.InternalOperationPlugin, Microsoft.Crm.ObjectModel, Version=7.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35; ClassName: Microsoft.Crm.Extensibility.InternalOperationPlugin; Exception: Unhandled Exception: System.Threading.ThreadAbortException: Thread was being aborted.

Have any one any idea to resolve this issue?

Note:- This exception message comes only for a specific account record.

    Hi Amritesh,

     I am not really sure how to troubleshoot it. The reason I mentioned those related entities is because I saw a somewhat similar issue before - it turned out there were some records in the database updated incorrectly(right in the database.. yes, that was bad karma for doing "unsupported" stuff). Actually, only a few of them were broken, but they would not allow CRM to cascade the assignment. In my case, I simply deleted them and that fixed the problem. Not sure if it's what you have there, though.

    Hi Nithya,

    I have used this tool to generate trace log file.

    But not find any relevant cause of this issue.

    Only I found that it says,  Exception while trying to open database connection for organization.

    Hi Alex,

    Yes, there is one order entity(1:N) has cascade all. When I change to Cascade none, then I am able to assign.

    But how can i resolve it and how to find solution of this  root cause .

    I have also generate trace log file to look into the root cause. But no luck.

    Hey,

     might be a long shot.. but see what other records are linked to the account(those where "assign" operation would cascade to the related records), try to unlink them temporarily (move the to another account for the time being), and see if you can assign then. Hope there are not too many  of them.

    Hi,

    This exception message not throwing from my plugin. It throw by the Microsoft.Crm.Extensibility.InternalOperationPlugin.dll which is auto trigger when you assign a record to the user.

    Hi Saad,

    this exception message throw by the Microsoft.Crm.Extensibility.InternalOperationPlugin.dll. Which is the CRM OOB plugin.

    Check in account plugin infinite loop occur it so then put context.isdepth
