Sync Custom Fields to Outlook (Dynamics 365 App for Outlook)

How can you synchronize custom fields to Outlook?

I have a custom field on the Contact entity (a lookup field) that needs to be synced to Outlook for Contacts in Outlook and display on forms and views in Outlook

    There is no direct option available to switch off it unless you control it from security role or can control if through custom logic like plugin/custom JS to stop user selecting specific entity under regarding.

    Do you happen to know if you can also disable the entities that show up in Outlook in the set regarding lookup field?

    You can't add custom fields for outlook synchronisation.
