The State field is not showing in newly created company in BC

I just created a new company in BC and the State field is not visible in Customers or Vendors.

State is visible in Cronus.  What am I missing?

    Please check what option you have in Local Address Format field in General ledger Setup.

    for anyone currently experiencing this, it is probably not a bug, but rather lack of complete setup. Navigate to the Countries/Regions screen. Locate the country code associated with the Country/Region Code you have entered on your customer or ship-to address. If you don't have any country codes, you should start populating both the table and your customer and ship-to addresses. Same for vendors.

    1. Make sure the "State Name" column has a value filled in. For the US, this would be "State" while for Canada it should be "Province" and so on.

    2. In the Address Format column, select a format that includes State, for example "City+State+Zip Code".

    If you do both of those steps, you should see a field labeled as State, Province, Region or whatever value you set for the country.

    Hi, as geomcgeo mentioned, you also need to check the settings of the County in the Countries/Regions. Only if the County is not empty will it be displayed on the Customer Card page. The displayed Caption is the content set in the County.

    Zhu,

    In most of my companies, the County column is labeled State. Is that because in the General fasttab of my Company Information card, the Country/Region Code is set to "US" and the County column is set to "State" when then controls the label of the column in the Countries/Regions list?

    Hi, Geo, although this is also related to the Local Address Format setting on the General Ledger Setup page and Address Format on the Address Format page mentioned by Mohana.

    Yes, I think so, you can find these clues in the standard code.
