Hi,
AIF is deprecated in D365.
Reason for depreciation: Architecture of AIF could not be scaled to a cloud service anbnd it has performance issues around bulk import. This feature is replaced by DIXF (Data import and Export Framework) as it supports recurring bulk import/export.

Thanks Sukrut
Hi Sukrut,
If i am going to work with Data entities and Odata. So, i need good knowledge in .net also.
I mean to say .net is mandatory ?
Learning .Net is also beneficial. You need to get familiar with the concepts, development and implementation of Data Entities and Odata through Visual Studio.
Please refer following links:
Build and consume data entities - out-of-band (OOB) entities
(docs.microsoft.com/.../build-consuming-data-entities)
