Types of service for specific products

Hello,

I manage a calibration/service company that specializes in the pharmaceutical industry. I am interested in using Dynamics 365 sales hub to generate and track customer quotes. We have a long list of the types of equipment that we service, and each type can have multiple types of service performed i.e. a centrifuge may be calibrated and also receive preventative maintenance steps.

Centrifuge, calibration, preventative maintenance, CAL/PM together and possible repair and diagnosis
Freezer, same as above

What would be the best way to set up the price list to accommodate the available choices of service? I would also like to have a description for each type of service to pass on to the customer.

 Thank you for your help!

    Hi There,

    Follow these steps:

    Create unit group

Then create products (equipments) or services if you haven't created those yet also add description to the product or service.

Create price list. Add products and services as the price list items and define the pricing information.

Now you can use those products and services in the opportunity products or also in the quotes.

Refer this video where I explained product catalog in detail:

Hi @Muhammad.Affan, thank you for you response.

Can you please provide a specific breakdown of how I would build the catalog according to the services I sell? I understand the catalog process but I am unsure how to build it for my specific needs.

    Hello NR-21101957-0,

You can follow below sequence to complete the action.
    1. Setup Unit and Unit Group
    2. Setup all the products and services and Products in D365 Sales along with product description in product bundle that you wants to print on quote.
    3. Setup Product Bundle (Combination of different existing products as needed), Specify the description in product bundle that you wants to print on quote.
    4. Setup Pricelist for Products and Bundles
    5. Add custom code (Power Fx/ Formula Column) to Opportunity Lines and Quote lines to pull description from Product
    6. Use Document Template to make quote template and add the require details (you can display the description from product using already added Formula/PowerFx column)
