Can a report show data across multiple companies in Business Central SaaS / Dynamics NAV (On-Prem)?

    Thanks for the prompt response. Once a consolidated company has been set-up, is it automatically kept up-to-date or is that a manual process? I believe my customer is looking for an automated solution. If it's manual, can an AL Extension run a report that shows data from multiple companies?

    Once set up it would be automatic and you would only need to manually change if any of the account mapping for new accounts or changes are needed.

    The account hub option is new so I would expect some more useful actions arising there.

    If you need more detail in the reports you may need to look at BI dashboards and reports.

    I've had further discussions with colleagues and they've said the following: "Unfortunately, consolidation will not be adequate as the functionality of the consolidation company in BC combines the G/L balances from selected companies into one consolidated Trial Balance, we need a way to export G/L entries across multiple companies for reporting"

    Therefore, can an AL Extension run a report that shows data from multiple companies? I've seen an AL method called RecordRef.ChangeCompany. Would that enable one to get G/L entries from one company, write them somewhere, change to the next company, repeat and so on?
