Hi,

we have a user that can not have Sys Admin rights on Dynamics but needs to be able to access certain content under the Marketing Settings tab. So what security role controls these settings or is it not possible without being Sys Admin?

best regards

Martin

    Hi Martin,

Here you can find the documentation for the Marketing Security Roles: docs.microsoft.com/.../admin-users-licenses-roles

According to the documentation the security role you are looking for is: "Marketing Manager - Business", as this provides you with access to the Settings area of Marketing.

All the same entities as the Marketing Professional – Business role, but more often grants enhanced permissions to work with records owned by other users in the same business unit as the manager. This role also provides access to all views and settings of the Settings work area. This role is provided access to insights forms through from-level security.

    I hope this helps!

    HI Partner

Addition to what Jonas said, you can also refer to Event Management security role for Settings tab  with regards to Events https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/marketing/admin-users-licenses-roles#event-management-security-roles

Yes user need to have administrator Privileges to access the Settings Area of Marketing https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/marketing/open-advanced-settings

    Hi Guys,

thanks for the replys, that was my fear that the user needs full System Admin rights as I understand it, which we are not able to provide for that user... .:(

    best regards
