item Stock is not updating

Hello!

I am facing a problem in inventory. I posted some sales invoices , & when I check the item stock , it is not deceremented. Although all the invoices are displaying in the smart list >Sales line item . I checked the item transaction in inventory , it also does not show the transaction for that item (SOP transactions ). I checked also in the item inquiry but stock is not changing althogh Sold Qty in this screen is changing after posting the invoice , But on Hand quantity and Available QTY is same.

So, Please help me if some one knows the solutions .

A few of questions here:

1) Are these items Sales Inventory type items and have they alway been set that way?

2) Did these invoices get imported or directly entered in GP?

3) How do these items get into inventory? Via a Purchase Order?

4) If you run a purchase receipts report do do see the transaction detail for these items?

5) Look at the IV10200 table to see the items coming into stock and the IV10201 to see them going out.

6) If you look at sale line item inquiry do you see the transactions listed?

Let me know what you find.

Answers

1) Are these items Sales Inventory type items and have they alway been set that way? Yes

2) All the invoices are entered directly in MS GP 10.0

3) All these items(Finish Goods) are entered through Adjustment entry , Beacuse we did not implemented Manufacturing Yet . So we make a direct entry through adjustment.

Also some item are purchased and then resale (P.O , and then direct invoice in GP)

4) Yes , Item can be seen in Purchase Receipt.

5) items are coming in IV10200 , but not going out from table IV10201

6) Yes , The items transactions are displaying in Sale line item inquiry (Smart list) .

On the IV10200 record is the QTYSOLD colum refelcting what you have sold?

If you look at the SOP30300 table, is the field NONINVEN a 0 (Inventory) or 1 (Non-Inventory for the records for these items?

1. In the IV10200 table column QTYSOLD value is "0.000 " for some items(These are items of those invoices which have problem).

2. In the SOP30300 table the field NONINVEN value is "0"

I am running out of ideas here. The last thing I can think of is were these items dropped shipped to your customer? This would allow you to invoice but would not take anything out of stock because the items were dropped shipped directly to your customer from your vendor.

NO, This item is not dropped ship to our customer. These item are comming out from our inventory (warehouse) . The problem is item status not updating (no change in the stock on hand), even after posting the invoice. It is as it was one month before , although we made so many invoices .............................

Note: This happend after when one of the invoice batch entry stucked in the system faced by "sa" user, before it was working perfactly.

I will be waiting for a reply ......

1) Is this happening for all items or just a few?

2) Have you tried running IV Reconcile?

3) Then try running Check Links on the Inventory,Purchase Order and Sales Series

4) Make a backup before you do steps 2 and 3

5) Reboot your SQL box and then make sure the TEMPDB.DEXSESSIONS and TEMPDB.DEXLOCK tables are empty along with DYNAMICS.SY00800 and SY00801.

6) After doing this make a backup and then do some sample transactions. If problem is gone, do a forced restore, if not let let know and we can continue.

1. This is happening for few items only.

2. Yes, I have tried IV Reconcile

4. I found the table DYNAMICS.SY00800 ( With one record only ) and SY00801(No data )

5. But, I could not find the TEMPDB.DEXSESSIONS and TEMPDB.DEXLOCK tables , So I stopped

Hi Hilal, (and Richard),

Strange one alright. Something must be stopping the IV10200 from updating.

Hilal, could you post a screen shot of everything in the following window: Tools>> Setup >> System >> Edit Launch File.

Try TEMPDB.DEX_LOCK and TEMPDB.DEX_SESSIONS.

The launch file screen shot is ......

I checked the tables in "Dynmics" databse TEMPDB.DEX_LOCK and TEMPDB.DEX_SESSIONS ,but the error comes

" Msg 208, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
Invalid object name 'TEMPDB.DEX_SESSIONS'.

" both times it means no such tables exist.

And one thing more I added the item(the item which sales status is not updating for) through adjustment entry , its updating. Only sales transaction problem.
